This site is meant to introduce you to the Toronto that you do not see on postcards or calendars. There are communities in Toronto that do not receive recognition from the media, politicians or from people that do not live there. The Inner City has been established to introduce you to these neighbourhoods in and around Toronto and provide you with a perspective of the city that is more than the CN Tower and Yonge Street. The blog is changed everyday so be sure to check it out regularly.

Ryerson Parking Garage

These are pictures I took off of Ryerson's parking garage. At around 9:30 in the morning the sun was in the perfect position to capture some good perspectives from the top floor of the building. {All are January 27th, 2006}

This is the main junction of the Ryerson University campus at Gould and Victoria. On the right is Kerr Hall, on the left is the Library Building and the tall building in the background is a housing dorm.

Ths sun breaking through between the new Olympic Spirit building and another building. In the centre is the HNR building and on the left is Yonge Street and the office towers that line it to the south.

This crane is the one that has been lingering over the north-east corner for several years now. It is constructing an entertainment complex which includes an AMC movie theatre. It supposed to be completed last year but has been delayed many times because of politics.

This the Olympic Spirit building just east of Yonge-Dundas Square. This building, the AMC theatre, the redesign of the Eaton Centre's north entrance and Yonge-Dundas Square itself were initiated to create a better public space for Toronto's busiest intersection. So far it is looking good and is well used in the warm months, however, the area won't be complete until the theatre is complete. Check out the plans at Yonge-Dundas Square.

Even Ryerson, around the block, has improved. They've added this building, the Continuing Education Building, on Victoria and are constructing a new business building at Bay and Dundas. A portion of the building is lined with copper that is bronze in colour now but after several years it will turn green like buildings you may see in cities like Quebec.

This is One Dundas Street West. It stands 111 metres high, or 29 floors. It was built in 1977 and stands high over the center of the Eaton Centre.

Dave, you grimester. I enjoy looking at your views and I don't know how you got that part of Wilson station empty. I would think those weave-wearing heifers would be crowding the shit of the place. Anyhow I will check you. Are you going skating?
