The free english classes sign at the top right of this building is a testimony to the residents who live in Parkdale. According to 2001 census data Polish, Tagalog(Philipino) and Vietnamese are the second, third and forth most popular home and mother-tongue languages after English. In 2001, almost 26% of the residents here moved to Canada between 1996 and 2001. Check out Pardale Statistics at

While we were venturing through Parkdale a bird lady threw food all over the sidewalk for the dozens of pigeons that apparently reside in this neighbourhood. We were a little too close for comfort but it made for a couple of decent shots. {February 10th, 2006}

They all-at-once took off down King Street West after they finished all the food she had left.{February 10th, 2006}

Once we had crossed the street she came back and consequently the birds came back too. Through all of this luckily none of these birds left their marks on us!{February 10th, 2006}
