This site is meant to introduce you to the Toronto that you do not see on postcards or calendars. There are communities in Toronto that do not receive recognition from the media, politicians or from people that do not live there. The Inner City has been established to introduce you to these neighbourhoods in and around Toronto and provide you with a perspective of the city that is more than the CN Tower and Yonge Street. The blog is changed everyday so be sure to check it out regularly.

401 sunset

Driving towards the light on Hwy 401. These two pictures were taken at dusk on Highway 401 westbound while going over the giant hump between Hwy 400 and Weston Road. From this height on the highway your looking over factories on both side and can see for a long distance. You can't actually see what your driving towards but from this perspective you can see the sun setting. You can see all the way to downtown and north to Steeles and view the entire Jane Street skyline. You could probably see to Vaughan if it had any buildings taller than a tree to recognize. Highway 400 between Finch and Steeles gives a similar view to the west. From there you can see the Kipling skyline and out to Brampton.
